Customer Reviews:
tough protection for 20 gig 4th Generation iPod color (2005-10-27)
If you work in hazardous environments (or hazardous for delicate iPODS) and need tough protection this is your case.
It is not for constant song changing (full velcro side protection except the top), but I tend to turn the iPOD on and leave it on all day wearing its belt sturdy case clip.
You can see the songs through the plastic window.
The window is too small for the new Video iPOD but works great for the Color 20 gig 4G iPOD. It should fit the other older iPODs with the same dimensions.
Its leather too, except the sides and wears well even with bumping into things. Another important fact- the iPOD is secured with a suction cup leaving air space around the back and front of the iPOD. Good for keeping the hard drive cool if you play it for hours at a time. The space also allows the earphones to wrap around behind the iPOD leaving a nice total package that can be carried into a bag or purse. I have no scratches using this because the front of the case does not actually touch the front of the iPOD. The snug sides hold the front leather part in place above the window.A waste of money (2005-10-14)
I don’t really understand the purpose of the case. There is no way to operate the iPod without opening the case, however the flap is tightly shut and it’s a pain in the a– to open it. It is also too large and heavy.
Totally useless gadget.

Not bad at all.. (2005-06-26)
I have used my Belkin flip case with a 20 gig 4G iPod for about 9 months. This iPod fits in the case just fine, though apparently the 40 gig model doesn’t. The case is paddded leather, with the suction cup and cradle suspension, and is designed to actually protect your iPod, so as others have noted it bulks up your iPod. The engineer in me doesn’t mind that. Also, air can pass between the case and the iPod, and this probably keeps my iPod running cooler.
The only annoyance with the flip case is that you have to unhook the Velcro on either side of the case to get at the controls, but the design protects the front controls better than most cases, so there’s a tradeoff here. My iPod is still clean and shiny, much better than what it would look like if it travelled in my pocket. Hence, 4 stars as it does what it’s designed to do, at a reasonable price.Good, but not great (2005-02-05)
This case is heavy duty. It’s a little bulky, but it’s secure. The iPod fits securely in the case’s “cradle,” and it even comes with a suction cup for extra hold.
The one BIG drawback is that there is no opening for the TouchWheel, so to access the controls, you need to flip the case open.Horrible Purchase (2005-01-11)
This was one of the worst purchases I ever made. First of all, it does not fit a 40 gig Ipod as it says it does. Second, it makes any Ipod so bulky that it defeats the purpose of buying an ipod. Third, there’s no access to controls. Fourth, the sides are velcrow, and my velcrow wore out within 3 months of purchase. Definitely look elsewhere.
